All About Ashley

Can You handle it???

I attempt to live by these two quotes: "The human heart feels things the eyes cannot see, and knows what the mind cannot understand." - Robert Vallett
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." - Eleanor Roosevelt

Currently I am taking part in the Young Engineers and Scientist(YES) Program. This program has enabled me to learn a great deal about the engineering field and make new friends in the process. This program has been educating highschool students since 1993 and is still changing the lives of the future. In order to be accepted into this program you must have an interest in the scientific or engineering fields, you must be a highschool junior or senior and then you must apply. Once you have submitted your application you will be contacted for an interview.Once you have had the interview, you will be contacted if you have been selected. I personally recommend that any and everyone apply to the YES program if able. If you are selected, I encourage you to make the most of it because not everyone can be accepted into the YES program.

My YES Journal week #1:
This week we have basically gotten to know each other and have accomplished many things. We have completed a couple of "Grand Challenges" and have learned some things that we might not have known coming into the program. This week, I have had alot of fun and I really enjoy the program because of the way our instructors incorporate learning and fun.
