Next (2000-2001) year I'll be a senior at William Howard Taft High School. I am excited to be participating in the YES program this summer. I hope to come out of this program with a better idea of my career goals. I'm intersested in Space and I hope to study either astronomy or aerospace engineering next year in ISM.
ISM, or Independent Study Mentorship, if you don't know, is a class where students choose a carrer field they are interested in and work with a mentor to explore that field. By the end of that year the student creates a product, or project demonstrating what they have learned and accomplished over the year. I've already taken this class once and absolutly loved it. I requires organization and a willingnes to accomplish goals. I would highly recomend this class to anyone that has these types of qualities.
