Biography
Hi, my name is Erika Wexler. I am currently a junior at Clark High School. This year I enrolled in many unique and difficult classes, which made for a challengeing scholastic year. One class that I really enjoyed this year is I.S.M. In this program I have had the opportunity to work with Larry Ratliff and learn and experience many new things in the film industry. My plans for the future are not set, but I hope to use my experience in I.S.M. to help me wherever I end up. In addition to school, I am a very dedicated volleyball player and enjoy traveling all over the country to various tournaments. Overall, I keep a very busy scheduele, but I'm always looking for new friends and fun things to try.

Mentor
Larry Ratliff is a nationally known, San Antonio-based multimedia film critic, often called " The Jalapeno Guy." He is the film critic for the San Antonio Express News newspaper, KABB-TV (Fox), and Radio Free Ratliff, a syndicated radio feature.

Project
This year in I.S.M., Larry and I worked very hard together in order to make my final product. After a lot of time and energy, we finally produced my first documentary film, Larry's World, which focuses on the career of a professional film critic. This project required me to learn all about every aspect of the process it takes to make a movie. I focused on taping, producing, writing, editing, and most of all creativity. It has been a lot of fun and I know that this experience will remain a special part of my academic career.
