Greetings. The purpose of this site is to inform the general public about the Mars Meteorite, ALH84001, which some scientists believe contains evidence of life on Mars. In the following sections, you will find basic information about the meteorite and the research which has taken place.

General Information

On December 27, 1984, at Allan Hills in Antartica, the meteorite designated as ALH84001 was chipped out of the ice and noted. After ten years of intense research and repetition of experiments to verify their findings, the scientists working on the meteorite decided to disclose their information to the public. On April 27, 1997, NASA held a press conference to formally release the information about ALH84001 and to have a formal debate. At current point in time, the debate continues throughout the world...
