Hi, my name is Lauren Lefton. I am a 16 year old girl at Clark High School. I love to horseback ride and am an active memeber in my youth group. For my junior year, I took ISM. This class gave me many oppertunities to experience the real work world. My father is an insurance agent and my mother works in nursing homes. I have just got my new horse. Mentor
For ISM you spend a year with a mentor who will teach you lots of stuff about your area of interest. My mentor's name is Scott Graham. He is a project manager5 at USAA Invastment Management Company. He is a great guy and really helped me a lot this year in ISM
Project
For my project in ISM, I spent the year doing research on saving for retirement. While researching, I noticed that there was not a lot if information on teaching young people on how to save for retirement. For my final project, I chose to make a book teaching young people how to save for retirement and all the benefits of starting to save at a young age. At my presentation, every person there recieved a copy of my book and got to read it. I think the people who have read it, have learned a lot
about saving for retirement and will really help them in their future.
