I was born on February 29, 1980...just my luck, LEAP YEAR. I went to elementary school at H.K. Williams, in San Antonio, Tx where all the other kids would pick on me. When I attended middle school, I decided to try sports and joined football. It was fun, but the coach didn't know how to coach. Then I joined soccer, where we went undefeated. Well, the time came and went and soon I was in High School, where I attended Memorial High School in San Antonio, Tx. There too, I joined football, where it all came to and end. I tore the cartilage in my left knee half way through the season.
Later in the year, I
attemped to play soccer where I just reinjured myself. At the same time, I
was taking the course of Electronics. Since I was no longer going to be in
any sports, I decided to devote most of my time to Electronics. It turned
out to be that I got very interested with it. Ever since then, I have been
in the direction of being an Electrical Engineer. That is when I heard about
the YES workshop from my electronics instructor. He advised that this would
help me find out if the field of electronics was the way for me to go. Many
times people have gone to college, thinking that the course they are mastering
in is right for them. Later they realize it is not what they really wanted to
do. I'm glad that I came, because this workshop helped me know that the field
of electronics is just right for me. These are some of the things that we
did:
Unix introduction, e-Mail, Mathematica, WWW (World Wide Web) Home page,
Electronics, and C++ programing.
